Fourth meeting: How Katy ISD is using AI
Join Fulshear AI Club on August 20, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fulshear Library for a practical look at AI in public education. Eric Schwartz from Katy ISD will share how the district is using AI to improve administration and communication with parents—including what has worked and what has not.
Artificial intelligence is beginning to change the day-to-day work of school districts, but the most useful lessons come from real experience—not theory alone.
At our fourth meeting, Eric Schwartz from Katy ISD will give members a candid look at how the district is putting AI to work. His presentation will focus on two areas that affect schools and families every day: administrative operations and communication with parents.

Why this conversation matters
Schools operate in a high-trust environment. Any new tool has to do more than save time: it must support clear communication, responsible decision-making, and the needs of students, families, teachers, and staff.
This session offers a grounded view of AI adoption inside a large local institution. By examining both successes and setbacks, we can move past the hype and have a more useful conversation about where AI helps, where it does not, and what responsible implementation looks like in practice.
Whether you work in education, government, business, technology, or simply want to understand how AI is affecting the community, you are welcome to join us.
